We've talked about getting a fantasy tournament together for Sunday, February 27. The scenarios will be posted soon, but I wanted to make sure the word gets out. Assuming it works for Lee, we'll start prompty at noon. Three games, 2000 points, no special characters, Swiss pairings (meaning the top two players from round one will play against each other in round two, and so on). Buy in will be $10, but folks who bought in to the last escalation league will have free entry into the tournament.

Thanks for taking the lead on this. The scenarios look fun, and I'm sure much blood will be shed on Sunday!

As a reminder, everyone should be there by noon. First round begins at 12:30 sharp! See you all there.

Nice work on the scenarios, very well done. I don't know if I will be able to play, but I should be able to make it and help set up and bring some terrain.

Otto,

Was this decided as a store buy in, or just a tourney fee?

I spoke to Barry finally today (sorry for taking so long). It will be a $10 tourney fee it looks like which will go into a pot toward the first place prize. Other small prizes are being offered by Barry for 2nd and 3rd place.

Thanks to Maedhros for organzing a great tournament! The scenarios were fun and added a great twist to the usual. I hope it's the first of many such tournaments to be hosted by the club!

Thanks also to our illustrious leader, GTO, for providing lots of very nice terrain to supplement Lee's and the club's terrain to construct some good looking tables. I'm sure Chaser will have photos to the gallery soon.

And for those who missed it:

Stewart's Lizards took first place.

My High Elves took second.

Patrick's Vampires took third.
